Abstract
The aim of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) in increase marital quality and marital adjustment among couple of Dezful city. Non-congruent multiple baseline experimental single case study was used as the method of the present study. The study population included all couples that refereed to Education counseling center. The sample was consisted of 3 couples that selected according to the results of the outcome questionnaire 45.2 (45.2-OQ) and Dyadic Adjustment (DAS) component were. and participants before treatment, middle of treatment, end of treatment and 1 month after treatment had ended to completed outcome questionnaire 45.2 (45.2-OQ), acceptance and action questionnaire (AAQ-II), questionnaire awareness mindfulness (MAAS), marital quality questionnaire (QMI), and dyadic adjustment scale (DAS). Data analyzed with visuals inspection, improvement percentage and reliable change index (RCI) strategies. Results showed that acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) have positive efficient on marital quality and marital adjustment. Results showed that acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) effectiveness in increase marital quality and marital adjustment.
