Abstract

 
Post traumatic growth (PTG) points to positive changes occur after a traumatic incident. Cancer as a traumatic incident affect to several dimension of life. Thus the aim of this study was investigating of correlation of post traumatic growth with social support, religiosity, meaning of life in female breast cancer. The method of study was correlation. The study population contained breast cancer of Isfahan city that 100 of them selected in available method. The tool of this study contained post traumatic growth questionnaire, personal meaning index, religiosity tendency questionnaire and multidimensional scale of perceived social support. To analyze of data used 18 versions of SPSS. Results indicate that there is a significant correlation between religiosity, meaning of life and social support with PTG of female breast cancer patients. Regression analysis showed that predictive variables were able to predict 21% of PTG and among predictor variables; social support was the best predictor. Therefore with gained model encourage social support, meaning of life and religiosity can have prominent role in PTG and enabling of women with breast cancer.
