Abstract
Objective: The aim of this research was to predict the isolation of girls with dysmorphic disorder based on incompatible schemas and feelings of loneliness. This research was applied in terms of purpose and descriptive in terms of methodology and with correlation (predictive) method.
Methods: The statistical population of this research included all girls with dysmorphic disorder studying in Central Tehran University; 210 people were selected as a sample using the available method. Sample subjects to body image concern questionnaires (Littleton et al., 2005); isolationism (Russell, Pepella and Cortona, 1978); Young's schema (short form); Feeling Loneliness (SELSA-S) (DiMazzo & Best, 2004), responded. The obtained data were entered into SPSS24 software for analysis by regression and Pearson correlation methods.
Findings: The results of the research showed that the components of feeling lonely include romantic loneliness (0.14), family loneliness (0.23), social loneliness (0.13) and incompatible schemas of abandonment, instability (0.28), social isolation, alienation (0.25). 0), shame (0.12), failure (0.17) and emotional inhibition (0.15) can predict the isolation of girls with dysmorphic disorder. between emotional deprivation (r=0.23), instability abandonment (r=0.33), social isolation, alienation (r=0.38), shame (r=0.27), failure (r=0.24), Obedience (r=0.18), emotional inhibition (r=0.31), stubborn standards (r=0.14), insufficient self-discipline (r=0.16); Also, between romantic loneliness (r=0.29), family loneliness (r=0.37), social loneliness (r=0.32) and total loneliness score (r=0.52) with the isolation of girls with dysmorphic disorder. There is a significant positive correlation (p<0.05).
Conclusion: The research results showed that incompatible schemas and feelings of loneliness have the ability to predict the isolation of girls with dysmorphic disorder.
