The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of group communication skill training on the mental health and assertiveness of adolescent girls supported by Imam Khomeini Help Committee in Mahshar city. The population in this study consisted of all girls who were supported by this committee in Mahshar. The sample consisted of 30 girls which were randomly selected and divided into two groups as experimental and control. The experimental group received 8 sessions of group communication skill training but the control group did not receive any intervention. The instruments were the General Health Questionnaire–28 (GHQ–28) and the Assertiveness Scale for Adolescents (ASA). The qualitative data analysis (Mean, Variance, etc.) and inferential statistics (Multivariable Covariance, etc.) were carried out by using the SPSS software. The result showed that group communication skill training enhanced the amount of mental health and assertiveness of single parent families’ adolescents supported by help committee. Using group communication skill training can improve this ability among girls to receive positive feedback in social environments and inhibit them from encountering with negative ones.

Addiction is associated with neural degeneration and brain morphological changes that effects cognitive functions. The purpose of this study was to compare executive functions in drug-dependent and drug-independent men. 50 drug-dependent men with convenient sampling selected and matched with 50 drug-independent men in age, intelligence and education and compared in neuropsychological tests. For the data analysis, MANOVA was used. The results showed that drug-dependents individuals performed significantly weaker than drug-independent in components of working memory, attention, and response inhibition, while there was no significant difference in the ability to plan. According to the results can be said that the deficit in executive function due to drug dependent should be consider in treatment of this person.

Post traumatic growth (PTG) points to positive changes occur after a traumatic incident. Cancer as a traumatic incident affect to several dimension of life. Thus the aim of this study was investigating of correlation of post traumatic growth with social support, religiosity, meaning of life in female breast cancer. The method of study was correlation. The study population contained breast cancer of Isfahan city that 100 of them selected in available method. The tool of this study contained post traumatic growth questionnaire, personal meaning index, religiosity tendency questionnaire and multidimensional scale of perceived social support. To analyze of data used 18 versions of SPSS. Results indicate that there is a significant correlation between religiosity, meaning of life and social support with PTG of female breast cancer patients. Regression analysis showed that predictive variables were able to predict 21% of PTG and among predictor variables; social support was the best predictor. Therefore with gained model encourage social support, meaning of life and religiosity can have prominent role in PTG and enabling of women with breast cancer.

The aim of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) in increase marital quality and marital adjustment among couple of Dezful city. Non-congruent multiple baseline experimental single case study was used as the method of the present study. The study population included all couples that refereed to Education counseling center. The sample was consisted of 3 couples that selected according to the results of the outcome questionnaire 45.2 (45.2-OQ) and Dyadic Adjustment (DAS) component were. and participants before treatment, middle of treatment, end of treatment and 1 month after treatment had ended to completed outcome questionnaire 45.2 (45.2-OQ), acceptance and action questionnaire (AAQ-II), questionnaire awareness mindfulness (MAAS), marital quality questionnaire (QMI), and dyadic adjustment scale (DAS). Data analyzed with visuals inspection, improvement percentage and reliable change index (RCI) strategies. Results showed that acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) have positive efficient on marital quality and marital adjustment. Results showed that acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) effectiveness in increase marital quality and marital adjustment.

Early maladaptive schemas (EMSs) act as templates for information Processing which influence in emotional reactions of life situations and their styles of interpersonal relationships. Marital relations is not exception being affected by these schemes. The aim of this study is to determine the relation between early maladaptive schemas (EMASs) and marital satisfaction. In order to achieve the aims of this study, 179 married students was chosen by cluster sampling from University of Mashhad, Mashhad Azad University units (Faculty of Sciences, Humanities) and of non-profit institutions (the Institute of Hekmat Razavi) and the Faculty of Ferdowsi University (Faculty of Educational Sciences, Science, Theology, literature).The subjects completed 2 psychological tools: the Young Schema Questionnaire (YSQ) and ENRICH Couple Scale (ECS). For analyze data have been used Correlation and enter regression analyses. The results show that a number of EMS domains were significantly associated with levels of marital satisfaction, Communication, Conflict Resolution except Idealistic Distortion, (P=0/05). Also the multiple regression analyses showed that Domain schemas of disconnection and rejection were the best predictor of marital satisfaction. Marital dissatisfaction can be predicted based on early maladaptive schemas; (r2=0/17، P=0/001) therefore it deserves intervention based on schema therapy as one of the interventions in the field of interpersonal conflict and marital problems as they are considered to be professionals.

Other than physical diseases, obesity causes mental problems. Taking psychological treatments related to weight management into consideration, along with diet treatments can help to reduce psychological problems concomitant with obesity, and also help in losing weight. The aim of this study was to examine the effectiveness of rational-emotive behavioral therapy on body mass index, irrational food beliefs, and self- acceptance among overweight teenage girls. From the statistical universe which included 14-18 year old overweight girls, 36 were selected; then, after initial assessment and recognition of overweight, participants were placed in 3 groups of experimental, placebo, and waiting-list randomly. The experiment group received 12 sessions of 90 minutes psychological intervention. Placebo group participated in 12 group sessions for investigating monitoring forms. Waiting- list group received no interventions. Data were analyzed by using SPSS 20 and AMOS software at the level of α<0/05. At the post test stage, multivariate analysis of covariance results and pair-wise comparisons showed that compared to waiting- list group, body mass index decreased in experiment group, but compared to placebo group no significant difference was observed. However, in the follow-up stage, in comparison with waiting- list and placebo groups, the body mass index showed significant difference in experiment group. The results also illustrated that in the post- test stage and follow up stage, showed that the average score of irrational food beliefs decreased, but self- acceptance increased significantly.
